Getting to drive on a real race circuit is not something you get to do every day (unless you’re Lewis Hamilton). Not far from Bandol you’ll find the ‘Circuit Paul Ricard’. Jump in a Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini or one of other 15 supercars in the fleet and burn some rubber. So much fun.

What we think

It’s not often you get to feel the buzz of driving a high performance car on a race track. Okay so we’ve all been karting, and that’s fun, but this is the real deal.

There’s no hanging around – after a 45 minute brief (in French), you have the option of doing a familiarisation lap in the passenger seat of an SUV. Then once your name gets called, it’s time for your palms to get sweaty as you pretend to your friends and family you’re not nervous at all.

You’ll be driving with a professional driver who will give you very brief tips on your performance. If you’re going too fast, too slow, breaking in the wrong places or not taking the best race line – you’ll soon know about it.

The buzz is intense. Straight out of the pit lane, you can get your foot down and feel the power of your Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini (or whatever you choose), as you handle her like Jenson Button at the Monaco Grand Prix. Well, at least in your mind that’s how it feels.

Bear in mind there is some waiting time depending on which package you choose, but you should have done all of your allocated laps within two hours. At the end you can buy a professional video or photos of your laps. You’ll also get a certificate to hang proudly on your wall.
