What we think

If you like rolling parkland golf courses, you’ll love Frégate. It’s pretty challenging in places, especially off the tee. If you spray it wide you’ll be in the pines with a tricky shot into the greens.

Speaking of which, the greens are pretty good. True, well looked after and usually running fast. It’s not Augusta but this is one of the best golf courses in the area.

Facilities-wise, there is an excellent driving range, two practice greens and a chipping area. There’s also a good pro shop at the hotel which stocks all the usual gear but not in huge quantities.

?Local tip: If you’re a beginner, play the Frégalon course which is shorter and less challenging.
